eLearning hints-and-tips: How to create a mandatory field button... that moves!

Whilst scanning Twitter (too much as usual), a short video hit Euan’s feed where a developer had created a video of a funky submit button.

If the user went to press the button before completing some mandatory fields, it would jump out of the way so they couldn't press it! We thought it was a cool idea so decided to riff on the concept using Articulate 360’s Storyline to make a quirky disabled button (besides just having a disabled state). We quickly realised some WCAG accessibility criteria to consider, so if you'd like to learn more about the build of this button and the additional programming you can put in place for accessibility, then feel free to watch the video.

This video is just shy of 30 minutes, so feel free to get in touch if you’d like help with it.

There was no credit to where the Twitter video came from, so we can't credit the source of inspiration, but would be sure to if it came to light later!
