Konnektis Makes a Splash at World of Learning 2025
The Konnektis team recently had the pleasure of exhibiting at the World of Learning conference in London this February, showcasing our innovative approaches to learning technology and accessibility. Our diverse team of experts spent two engaging days demonstrating cutting-edge learning solutions and connecting with industry professionals.
Virtual Reality in Learning
One of the highlights of our exhibition was our Virtual Reality demonstration, led by our VR and XR developer, Stuart. The demo showcased the transformative potential of virtual and augmented reality in educational settings. Visitors to our booth had the opportunity to experience several immersive learning scenarios, including:
An awe-inspiring underwater encounter with a life-sized blue whale, offering a unique perspective on marine biology that would be impossible to replicate in traditional learning environments
Interactive puzzle games that engage learners through hands-on problem-solving
An augmented reality Roman fort, bringing historical learning to life through innovative technology
Championing Digital Accessibility
Another standout feature of our exhibition was the live accessibility audits conducted by our accessibility auditor, Imran. As a blind developer who relies on screen readers, Imran provided invaluable 10-minute demonstrations showing how websites perform in real-world accessibility scenarios. These sessions definitely enlightened several visitors to some of the important things to take note of when it comes to digital accessibility:
How screen readers interpret web content
Common accessibility challenges, such as unlabeled buttons and headings
Quick wins for improving website accessibility
The demonstrations highlighted our commitment to making digital learning accessible to all users, regardless of their abilities.
Looking Forward
The positive response to our demonstrations and the valuable connections made at World of Learning have reinforced our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in learning technology while ensuring accessibility remains at the forefront of innovation.
